Xiaomi Mi 5 Scores Over 100,000 In AnTuTu Benchmark

Xiaomi Mi 5 leaks just keep on coming. We’ve seen quite a few Mi 5 leaks in the last couple of days, including three leaks of the device itself. The alleged real life image of the device has surfaced, along with a render of the phone and a closeup picture of its display. Speaking of which, the bezels will be almost non-existant on Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, if these leaks are to be believed, of course. Now, according to the latest available info, the Mi 5 might sport a physical home button below the display, which is not exactly typical for Xiaomi, considering all of their smartphones sport three capacitive buttons below the display, no physical keys except the power button and volume rocker. Either way, we’ll see.

That being said, a new leak surfaced just recently, sharing the alleged benchmark results of Xiaomi’s upcoming phone. As most of you probably know, Mi 5 was expected to arrive in July, but Xiaomi probably wanted to wait for the Snapdragon 820 to become available, and because of that the phone hasn’t been announced just yet. The device is expected to be announced in January, and Snapdragon 820 will quite probably be included on the inside. This benchmark leak which surfaced more or less confirms that the Snapdragon 820 will be on the inside, the benchmark results are through the roof. The Mi 5 was actually able to score over 100,000 points in AnTuTu’s v6.0 benchmark tool, the phone scored 101,339, to be completely accurate.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 which was tested here is probably powered by the Snapdragon 820, and it shows in the benchmark results, this is one of the highest benchmarking scores we’ve seen thus far, topped only by Apple’s A9 SoC, as shown in the second image down below. The Mi 5 will almost certainly launch in January, and the latest info claims the device will arrive on January 20th, but take that info with a grain of salt, it’s just a random rumor. The Mi 5 is expected to sport a 5.2-5.5’’ QHD display, 3/4GB of RAM and will be made out of metal. The phone will almost certainly sport a fingerprint scanner, and it will be interesting to see how much will it cost once Xiaomi releases it.
